Meet Our Founder

MILA is owned and coordinated by Tones George, who has been awarded a Certificate in TESOL from Trinity College London. Despite being the holder of this prestigious certification, he has received the Edu excellence award from our honorable Ex Governor P. Sathashivam for the teaching methodology applied for training IELTS at MILA. Apart from all, through his unrivaled experience and sheer dedication in IELTS, he could make MILA the official Registration partner of IDP.

Achievements

We started off the academy only with a single mission: revamping the system of language education, making the language enthusiasts a part of our movement.

In the pursuit of making our noble mission a reality, we had to be stubborn at taking some stringent measures such as imposing hefty penalties on students to restrict them from using their regional language on campus, following up their guardians when taken leaves without intimation or underperforming, admitting only 10 students and so on. This begs the question whether an academy has to be this strict to achieve this goal. The answer is YES!

The reason is that our founder and CEO, Mr. Tones George, wasn’t someone with a broad English background; instead, he had a humble beginning. Like anybody, it was his dream too to secure a score of 6.5 overall for IELTS, which was found impossible initially. However, with sheer dedication and love for the English language, he came across several methods like language immersion after carrying out extensive research into it. He applied every speck of it without fail, which enabled him to take a massive leap from an overall 6.0 to 8.0 for IELTS in just 4 months.

His passion for English didn’t stop there as he was so desperate to share the ideas he stumbled upon with the needy. This eventually gave him a wake up call that teaching is his passion, which persuaded to look for ways to become a better teacher. On the go, he got an opportunity to do a level 5 TESOL course from Trinity College London and a certificate of achievement to train the trainers from Andrew Steal, Examiners head, IDP.

Without doubt, these measures will compromise business, but help shape one’s language to an unprecedented level. Yes! We are well aware of the risk factors involved, but for us, creating an impact on a handful of language enthusiasts is far more important than being a money-making institute alluring thousands.

We, MILAins, were, have been and will be keeping our mission in our hearts forever. With our commitment for teaching English, we could cater to the vast majority of our IELTS aspirants, helping them secure a band score of 7 or above.

The mission of MILA Ventures is to give wings to the language enthusiasts to chase their study abroad dreams. We execute this with our sheer commitment to unlock the transformative power of each aspirant who comes to us with passion.

With continuous exposure to novel ideas, ways of understanding and knowing, students at MILA embark on a journey of intellectual transformation, enabling them to learn English with utmost interest. Through a strict English environment with students from different walks of life and having evolving identities, intellectual transformation is deepened and conditions for social transformation are created. From this, we hope that we will be able to create an impact in their lives by helping them achieve what they once believed impossible.

Eventually, in the future, we stamp our presence across the globe, reach the unreached and shed light on the opportunities of overseas education and the English language.
